The First Wealth

We often think of wealth as material, for example, money, gold, stock assets, etc. That is not the case. But I think, wealth is not only a matter of lined up nominal numbers, but wealth is the result of human representation itself. I’m inspired by a quote:
Kekayaan pertama adalah soal cara berpikir (William Tanuwijaya).
We take an example, imagine there is a person with an income of 30 million / month, but during a pandemic like today, his income decreased to 10 million / month. Then he became sad and felt that he was always lacking.
He has to set aside 5 million for car installments, 3 million for bad debt repayments, which is consumptive debt, and the remaining 2 million to live with his family for one month.
This person feels that his life is depressed, and feels that he is always lacking. It is not uncommon to commit illegal acts, namely stealing people’s property.
While on the other hand, there are people whose income is just barely enough, if it is calculated that it can only be for him and his family, they can still be grateful, and can even give alms every day. He always had enough and never complained.
He always tries to improve the economic level and financial level of his family. To be able to do more good, have a bigger impact, by helping those around and in need.
Hopefully, we will always be given the blessing of sustenance by Allah subhaanahuwata’ala, as well as be given awareness, convenience, abilities, and opportunities to help each other. Aamiin.
I hope, this may be useful.
Thank you.
